9V Amplifier and 12″ Speaker in a 12″ Tom Drum Shell
These two always seemed like a pair to me
Probably one of the weirder things I’ve built. This is a 12″ Celestion Modern Lead 70 Speaker and a 386 IC amplifier in a 12″ tom drum shell.
I got the speaker for almost nothing, because it had been kicked in
Amplifier from the side
When I built this, neon green duct tape was on sale. A lot of stuff I built had neon green duct tape all over it.
All of the circuitry and the battery are contained inside the drum shell
The circuit is pretty simple; only 1 IC, a few resistors and capacitors, 3 knobs, and a pair of switches. Oh, and a 9V battery and an input jack. Under $20 in components from your local electronics store!
